SoJoGo works with clients in an array of capacities - as an organizational advisor/consultant, a strategy coach, or a thought leader. Each working relationship involves some combination of these strategies and roles. Through direct engagement with C-suite staff and governance members we can offer Interim Chief Equity/Diversity Officer (CDEO) in order to delve deeper into corporate strategy, brand management, and/or organizational learning and development. Interim CDEO services are offered on a monthly retainer basis (3 month minimum) and customized based on strategic goals and leadership team needs.

Conversations about race and racial equity are oftentimes uncomfortable and challenging regardless of the setting; so much so that in professional and business settings they are oftentimes intentionally avoided. Diversity and inclusion staff trainings usually focus on skill building or implicit bias, but rarely is the end goal/objective focused on advancing racial equity. A corporate commitment to advancing racial equity and social impact requires self-inventory, constant reflection, and honest conversations in corporate board rooms, leadership team meetings, or one on one conversations with an executive coach.

EDI Curated Conversations are at the heart and center of our soul-searching facilitated retreats and executive coaching.  knowledge and empathy among senior leaders/executives and boards. Some example topics include:

  • EDI + Pop Culture/Arts Curated Conversations he arts (film, music, performing arts, visual arts, etc.). Exploring EDI in mainstream culture/zeitgeist allow senior leaders/executives to move beyond academic frameworks to develop deeper insight/empathy into current EDI themes.

  • EDI & Business Ethics these conversations lend themselves to broader, deeper discussions that would precede initiatives such as EDI hiring practices, recruitment and retention, revising personnel policies, or community engagement.
